I don’t know about any of you, but I am certainly ready for 2010 to be a memory and for the new beginning that comes with the new year 2011.
“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it?” Isaiah 43:19.
God is going to do something new, something major, something dramatic, something miraculous in my life in 2011! He will do it for you too, so be expecting it and be on the lookout for it. Not the same old same old, but something radically new and different. Something better.
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; behold the old things have passed away; new things have come”. 2 Corinthians 5:17. I am so ready for the old things 2010 and further back to be over and done with and for the new and exciting possibilities and adventures with God that await in 2011 to begin.
“For I know the plans that I have for you”, declares the Lord, “Plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah 29:11
A very well known politician recently ran a campaign built on a platform of “hope and change”. We see from these verses that real hope and real change come from Christ and Christ alone, not from any politician. I’m sure you have had what you consider more than your fair share of calamity in 2010. If you read Jeremiah 29:11 correctly you will see that this calamity did not come from God. His plans for us involve just the opposite. 2011 can be your year. It can be the year that you see the lasting change you have been hoping for. Just take Jeremiah 29:11 to heart, believe it, confess it, and practice it in your life and you will be amazed and even flabbergasted over what happens!
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”. Hebrews 11:1 NASB
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and the assurance of what we do not see”. Hebrews 11:1 NIV
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. Hebrews 11: 1 NKJV
Faith is the key to your 2011 being the most amazing year ever. Notice in all these different translations the verse begins with “Now faith…”. That is significant. It’s not yesterday faith, or a future faith you hope to have, it is now faith. Faith that you have right here, right now, that will make the difference.
My “now faith” gives me the substantial evidence, the conviction and confident assurance that the things I am hoping for in 2011 will come to pass. New beginnings, a fresh start, restoration of all that the enemy has stolen, you name it, have now faith that it will come to pass and it will be yours.
“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you”. Mark 11;24
Your now faith practiced correctly will yield the desired result. Notice this verse from Mark 11. It doesn’t say that some things you pray and ask for will be granted. No, it says all things and all means all without exception or equivocation. Notice it also says “believe that you have received them…”. Not that you might, or even that you will at some time in the future receive them. No, it says to believe that you have already received them and then your prayers will be answered and your requests will be granted. This is now faith in action. Believing that you have already received the things you asked for even before the manifestation of these things appears.
I plan to start immediately putting now faith in action and excitedly and expectantly wait for God to fulfill His Word and His promises in my life. What about you? Are you going to activate your now faith and see God brings your way in 2011? It only takes a small amount of now faith to activate God’s Word and promise in your life. It may seem a little risky, even uncomfortable at first, but the rewards and the benefits outweigh the risk exponentially.
So what are you waiting for? Activate you now faith today and wait for God to show up and be God!
