Angelina breaks her silence

Angelina Jolie agreed to an interview with the Today show, which will air this Thursday. The interview was conducted as Jolie walked along a dirt road in Namibia, telling anchorwoman Ann Curry that she cares deeply about the children suffering in Africa. Speaking about adopted daughter Zahara, Jolie said, "She's from a country where six million kids don't go to school every year... Her mother died of AIDS and they wouldn't have had any funds to send her to school."

Spidey engaged?

Tobey Maguire has reportedly proposed to long-time girlfriend Jennifer Meyer. The Spider-Man actor has been dating the daughter of Universal Studios head Ron Meyer for three years and shares his LA home with her.

Costner named in sexual assault case

Kevin Costner has been officially named as the actor accused of grabbing a masseuse, dropping his towel and exposing himself in 2004, while he was on his honeymoon in Scotland. At a tribunal on Tuesday, lawyers were successful in arguing for the release of the actor's name, nearly a month after rumors began circulating about the story. After complaining to her managers, the masseuse was fired when she complained about the Costner incident, and was recently awarded an undisclosed amount for wrongful dismissal.

Eva says Teri's okay

Eva Longoria recently defended Desperate Housewives co-star and friend Teri Hatcher against reports of an eating disorder, saying, "She's definitely naturally thin. She's a dancer too, so she has that natural dancer's body." Longoria is tired of the media's constant criticism of Hatcher's body.

Tom's change of plans

Tom Cruise, Keri Russell and Michelle Monaghan at the London premiere of Mission: Impossible 3. It seems Cruise has had a change of heart since yesterday, when he said he would be boarding a plane back to the U.S. after the Rome premiere so he could be with Katie and Suri. "We discussed it," he said. "She said, 'You know, things change.' I realize the fans are going to be there in London and Paris and, you know, everything is cool. So we're going to hit it. We're going to bang it." Bang it????

Jessica to play CJ?

Pamela Anderson is thrilled with reports that Jessica Simpson may play her Baywatch role as CJ Parker in the upcoming movie version of the show. "Oh my goodness she sure could," the Stacked star said when the idea was mentioned to her. "Will Ferrell should play David Hasselhoff. That would be hot."

Maury show scandal

Maury Povich and other members of his staff have been sued for sexual harrassment by Bianca Nardi, a producer on his show, for $100 million. The producer claims the sexually charged atmosphere around the office was encouraged by the "intimate and sexual relationship between...Povich and Donna Benner Ingber," and that Nardi's workload was unfairly heavy because Inger refused to do her own work as a result of her relationship with Povich. Nardi also charges that the show's executive producer ordered her to wear low-cut shirts, short skirts and push-up bras, and that she was required to jobs she felt were outside her job description, including "going to bars to secretly videotape married men agreeing to have sex" with her. Nardi says the same producer forced her to "run a gauntlet of sexually abusive and intimidating conduct," including watching porn with him and posing in sexually explicit positions. She claims she complied for fear of losing her job.
