I had not even heard of Tom Bosley's death back
on October 19 until I started putting this piece together.
Bosley, best known for his roles as Howard Cunningham
in Happy Days and as the title character in the Father
Dowling mysteries was 83.
The passing of June Cleaver (Barbara Billingsley)
came as a surprise to me too. Everyone's favorite
TV mom passed away October 16 at age 94.
The other one caught me off guard
was the death of Designing Woman
Dixie Carter at age 60.

We all remember the tragic story of the death
of former child star Gary Coleman.
James MacArthur of the original Hawaii 5-0
John Forsythe of Dynasty fame also passed away last year.
Comedic genius Leslie Nielsen was 84 when he died.
Peter Graves (Mission Impossible).
Golden Girl Rue McClanahan lost her battle with cancer.
Singer, songwriter Teddy Pendergrass.
Legendary actor Tony Curtis also passed in 2010.
The ones I was saddest to see go:
One of my favorite actors, Robert Culp
died in March after a fall. He was 79.
Writer, producer, director of such great
shows like The Rockford Files, The A-Team,
Greatest American Hero, and 38 other shows,
Stephen J. Cannell died on Sept. 29 from
complications associated with melanoma.
He was 69. He will be missed.
