SAN ANGELO, Texas — Planned Parenthood adding to death toll
Fred Campbell's statement in last Monday's Standard-Times that "Planned Parenthood is a vital resource for the health of our fair city" makes as much sense as saying Auschwitz, Nazi Germany's largest concentration and extermination camp, was a vital resource in perpetuating the daily lives of the Polish town of Oshwiecim.
Some estimates run as high as 3 million people eventually killed through gassing, starvation, disease, shooting and burning at this facility. Nine out of 10 were Jews. In addition, Gypsies, Soviet POWs and prisoners of all nationalities died in the gas chambers sanctioned by the then-ruling government.
In 38 years, the decision of Roe v. Wade has helped to slaughter 50 million babies, again sanctioned by the government, and Planned Parenthood became our Auschwitz. There are books and Internet sources that will enlighten many who want to know the truth of Margaret Sanger and her killing facility. We strongly recommend the DVD "Maafa 21."
We feel sympathy for the women and men who have to make a decision to terminate a life, but that is not the only alternative. There are agencies such as Pregnancy Help Centers and Gabriel Projects that provide needed services and counseling for women. The difference is they do not influence expectant mothers to abort their child.
So if there are other agencies that perform the same functions as Planned Parenthood, why not look at those facilities instead of one that performs abortions?
Whether it is the Women's Medical Society or Planned Parenthood, killing is killing and the establishment, sterile or filthy, produces the same result.
Whatever happened to taking responsibility for our own actions? We make a blunder and someone has to die. Why should I mess up my life when I can kill my child and go on with my life? There is always an alternative and abortion need not be one of them.
We would rather be among the prayerful demonstrators in front of Planned Parenthood carrying out the mandate of the bishop than with Planned Parenthood carrying out the atrocities of Margaret Sanger.
Since our Lord created life, on whom do you think his favor will rest — those who preserve life or those who take it? People who take life are playing God. Satan wanted to be like God and look where it got him.
