mp3-2000.com operates since 1998, and they claim their goal to be finding and organizing all legal free music available on the Internet. Well, it’s true. You can search and download free mp3s over here.
It's very easy: just type the name of the song or album or music group in the search form and then you can either download the song or listen to music online via the built-in player. Just in case you didn't notice, none of the files are stored at mp3-2000.com, it's only a search engine, it has huge database but doesn't host any of the files that you listen to from there.
What I liked besides the online player is the possibility to list alphabetically all the songs of an artist while searching, which is nice, but my only remark would be about absence (at least I could not find it) of an option to download free albums at once, as a whole. However, all the songs that make up any album that I was looking for were there, so as for me it's not a big problem.
They also have a special submit form that you can use to add a link for an mp3 file to their database thus helping other users to find some rare stuff or promote your own free music.
I highly recommend this website to everyone who just wants to listen to mp3 music staying on the legal grounds. |
