It's now official, 2 time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart is leaving Joe Gibbs Racing after 10 years, to go with Haas - CNC Racing in 2009. Gibbs agreed to release Stewart from the remaining year of his contract, allowing him to make the move next season. Stewart has reportedly purchased 50% interest in the team making him part owner as well as driver. An official announcement is expected to made tomorrow.
