The man who became known as "Dr. Death," Dr. Jack Kevorkian died Friday in a Michigan hospital at age 83. Kevorkian rose to national notoriety for helping terminally ill people end their lives and sparked a national debate over assisted suicide. Kevorkian would have people come to his Volkswagen bus and he would give them a lethal drug that would help them end their pain and suffering. It is ironic that he died without assistance, in a nice hospital, receiving the best possible care.
We are left with one very pressing and important question. First, with Kevorkian's death, who is our soon-to-be ex-president going to pick to run his death panels now? I guess this also means our soon-to-be ex-president won't be able to use that gift certificate I gave him for Christmas either. Bummer.
