Bringing a walk of fame to the Spanish capital of Madrid, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were on-hand for the opening of the "Street of Stars" on Monday (June 27).
The Hollywood couple joined good friend, director Pedro Almodovar, as they watched on while their stars were unveiled at the busy Calle MartÃn de los Heros locale.
The tribute to Spain's celebrities included a total of 25 inaugural stars - with each receiving a sidewalk plaque made of granite, marble and steel.
With actor Antonio Banderas, singer Julio Iglesias and tenor Placido Domingo also among those receiving the accolade, reports tell that there are plans to add one to two new stars each year.
