Mase Launches the Official Music Video for the hit We Miss You

Ace music producer and founder of DMS Entertainment, MASE teamed-up with top-calibre glam fashion photographer Mike Montoya in producing the official music video for ?We Miss You?. During the middle of 2010, ?We Miss You? broke out into the hip-hop airwaves and peaked at #17 on the nationwide Indie Urban Charts.

?We Miss You? was anunexpected hit for Mase, for it was written primarily as a personal tribute to the memory of his late father, Felix Siby. The homemade viral video clip of ?We Miss You? uploaded on YouTube, also caught the attention of viewers who positively encouraged Mase to produce an official music video for it. ?I wanna see a real video cuz the song?s amazing??, is a recurring suggestion or request fromviewers who leave comments such as this on Mase?s YouTube page.

Mase, personally handpicked high fashion lensman and director Mike Montoya to work on the official music video of ?We Miss You?. Montoya?s silky smooth lighting and stylish cinematography gave the music video a very polished and sophisticated look. Yet inspite of the glamorous setting, he managed to establish a contrastbetween a dark and downcast emotional moment; then uplift it with visions of encouragement, and support. The visuals complement the mood of the song. It?s a song about pain and loss, yet it brings forth a positive vibe that can calm down and inspire a weary soul. Connect with this emotion by viewing the full music video on Mase?s ?We Miss You? YouTube channel.

Mase was born in Libreville Gabon, Africa, traveled extensively and studied in various parts of Europe, and decided to settle in the United States, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in International Relations from the Florida International University. His multi-lingual and diverse cultural exposure, along with his expertise in music studio production work, drove him to establish DMS Entertainment as an expression of his dedication and passion for his own brand of music.

Mase, is by nature, a reluctant singer for his heart is into songwriting and music production. With the success of his initial foray into song recording, a follow-up single and possibly a full album, isn?t too far behind. Watch out, Mase is brewing steamy hip-hop and rnb jams for himself and for his roster of talents under DMS Entertainment that?s gonna be hot on everyone?s lips this 2011!

Date Published: 04th April 2011Bookmark and Share
Music, be it vocal or instrumental, is an emotive expression through touchy tunes. Heart-touching lyrics are a part of vocal music. Music is loved by all and regarded as the finest recreation for us. For the musicians, music is a confluence of their passion and profession. The highly talented musicians churn out original scores while the mediocre professionals are much fond of remixing the hit tracks. Lacking in superlative creative quotient, these low-graded musicians imitates the style of the original composers. Such a practice is illegal in the eyes of law and these law-defying persons are well-known as ?copycats? in the music world. So, to protect the unique opus of the gifted musicians, music licensing for film companies have extended their help to both the budding talents and eminent artisans.

Music is a part and parcel of our life. It is also an integral aspect of many religious occasions. Devotional music is a noteworthy mention in this regard. This is an ancient artistic medium to get in touch with our inner self as well as divine power too. The eminent scholars in the music arena across the globe have added to the enrichment of global culture. In spite of creating such a great influence on our life, music as a medium of earning bread and butter has appealed to us only in the recent time. It is the reason why ?music licensing for film? industry is thriving on.

Licensing one?s music refers to copyrighting one?s creation. Such protective measure is a must to adopt. Without music licensing for film, it is hard to put to an end to the indiscriminate use of music without the artists? permission. This way, the composers get deprived of their dues too. Especially the upcoming talents in the music industry suffer these unfortunate experiences. They are not only cheated out of the just amount of remuneration but the clever and dishonest persons do not feel a pang of conscience while passing off the others? masterpieces in their own name. So, to thwart such an illegal practice, music licensing for film is a must for the commercial music directors.

When music is licensed, the musicians enjoy the right to decide whether to allow the others to use their compositions. In case, you are permitted to use their works in any of your projects, you must pay them in exchange. Due to music licensing for film, such dealing takes place not via verbal commitment. A written dossier is drafted in support of the mutual agreement between both the parties. Even if you are using an artist?s creation in background, you must pay the composer. Background music is seldom vocal and most of the time instrumental. Sometime soft humming in background is used to add special effect to a project. Compelling background music builds up a pleasant ambiance without detracting anything from the themes or events flashing on the screen.

The finest and rarest blending of audio and visual medium invites the attention of viewers. That is why; the demand for the creative talents in the music industry is always on rise. So, upcoming talents must go for music licensing for film for the sake of protection of their memorable tracks and to drag the frauds to the courts if they try to rip off the artists.
