"The Riches", Team Philippines wins The Amazing Race Asia Season 4

The all-male team of Richard Herrera and Richard Hardin who call their tandem 'The Riches' since they share the same first name Richard, did not fail their fans' expectations by winning the last leg of the 4th Season of the Amazing Race Asia.


"The Riches" has been an early favorite because of their background in sports. Both had played the American Football League before. Richard Hardin currently works as a Pro Basketball Player while Richard Herrera is an actor and a model.

The long-time friends were just one of the two teams that represented the Philippine in this season of the Amazing Race Asia. The "Party Girls" composed of Jacinta James (Jess, 27, Tattooist) and Lani Pillinger (27, Model) also managed it to the top 4 and also won 3 legs.

It is also the first time that a team from the Philippines won the Amazing Race Asia.

Amazing Race Asia 4 Episode 1: Home-court Advantage for the Malaysian Team

The team of friends, Ethan and Mohd, completely dominated the first leg of Amazing Race Asia 4 since it was held in their country of origin, Malaysia, giving the team an advantage. The 'Riches' (Richard Hardin and Richard Herrera) from the Philippines went second while the other Philippine team, 'The Party Girls' (Jacinta James and Lani Pillinger) was the eight team to reach the pitstop.

On the other hand, the Indonesian team was last to arrive but they were not eliminated since it was a predetermined non-elimination round. They will be back on the race but they will get a 30-minute penalty if they will not be the first team to arrive to the pitstop in the second leg.

Amazing Race Asia 4 airs every Thursday at 9pm on AXN-Asia.

Amazing Race Asia 4: Philippine Team, 'The Riches'

The Philippines will be represented by two teams in the 4th season of one of the most anticipated reality TV shows in Asia, the Amazing Race Asia. One of them call their tandem, 'The Riches' since they share the same first name, Richard.

Being able to have competed at the American Football League, Richard Hardin (34, Pro Basketball Player) and Richard Herrera (Actor/Model) sure know how to play the game. Undeniably equipped with fitness and athleticism, will the two friends be the first Pinoys to win the race? We will find out.

Amazing Race Asia Season 4 Premiers Sept 23

One of the most anticipated reality show in Asia, Amazing Race Asia opens a brandnew season (Season 4) this coming September 23, 2010. Hosted by Alex Wu, 10 teams from different countries in Asia will be competing in the show. The show will be aired every Thurday at 8pm (JKT), 9pm (SG/MY/PH/TH/INDIA), 10pm (HK), and 11pm (TW/KR).

The Philippines will again be represented by a male pair, Richard Hardin (Pro Basketball Player) and Richard Herrera (Actor/Model), as well as an all-female tandem of Jacinta James (Tattooist) and Lani Pillinger (Model)
