It's over for Mandy Moore and her beau of only two months, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein. "It was mutual," said a source close to the pair. The Because I Said So actress took her romance with Goldstein public in January at the Sundance film fest after quietly dating in LA for about a month. At a recent film premiere, Moore told the press, "I don't enjoy dating in the public eye. I don't even really enjoy dating." Goldstein took some flack last fall for reportedly putting out "feelers" for a celebrity girlfriend following his split from then-fiancee Nicole Richie.

Mandy Moore addresses the issue of weight in Seventeen mag and makes mention of new beau DJ AM's ex Nicole Richie in the process. "Oh, God! I tell you what, in this industry it's my job to look a certain way or what not and it's weird for men too," the Because I Said So star says. "But I'm much happier to present this type of person. I'm not Nicole Richie. I'm not like a toothpick, and I never will be. I'm just a regular-looking person and that's okay... It's taken awhile to come to grips with that since it's definitely not the norm in my business... But like, who cares? If anything, that makes someone more special. Or at least that's what I tell myself."

Mandy creates splash at Sundance

It seems Mandy Moore was the hit of the Sundance film fest, with movie distributors (including the Weinstein brothers) "in a fierce battle" over her new film Dedication. It's not just industry folk who have fallen for the star - Nicole Richie's ex DJ AM also appears to be smitten. "The two were making out on the couch," said a source at the Lotus Lounge set up for the fest in Park City.

Mandy gets the blues

Mandy Moore admits in this month's Jane mag that she sometimes suffers from mild depression. "A few months ago I felt really low, really sad - depressed for no reason," Moore says. "I'm a very positive person, and I've always been glass-half-full. So it was like someone flipped a switch on me." The singer and actress says her split last year from Scrubs star Zach Braff wasn't necessarily the trigger. "The breakup added to what I was going through, but it's not the complete reason. It definitely doesn't help if you're already in that place," she explained. "I've been going through this really crazy time in my life. I'm asking myself life-altering questions, like 'Who am I? Where do I fit in this world? What am I doing? What do I want to do? Am I living to my full potential?'" Moore has been spotted out with DJ AM, who she is rumored to be dating, but the singer says she is uncomfortable with the dating scene. "I've tried dating a bit, and I don't like it," she says. "I know I should be putting myself out there. But I don't really think it's for me. That's not to say I'm ready to jump back into a relationship anytime soon. I'm definitely not looking. But it'd be fun to have a crush."

A source close to Goldstein confirmed that the pair have recently started dating. "It's really new. They're in the beginning stages of getting to know each other," the source says. "They're very into each other. It's very sweet." The pair's trip to the coffee shop was reportedly their fourth date this week. "She had a huge smile on her face," said a witness. "When they left, they put their arms around each other." Rumors flew that Moore might hook up with ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama after the two were spotted partying together in Miami over the New Year's weekend, but a source says, "Even though she was with Wilmer in Miami, she and DJ made plans. They are seeing where it goes." Moore's rep doesn't comment on her personal life, and Goldstein's publicist hasn't commented either.
