Sources say the film's producers are eager to hand Gyllenhaal the part.Monster co-stars Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton will reunite for the film Tulia, based on the novel Tulia: Race, Cocaine and Corruption in a Small Texas Town. Set to begin filming in New Orleans at the end of April, the plot follows a UCLA lawyer on a quest to expose a series of racially-motivated drug charges in Texas.Colin Farrell and Charlize Theron will team up for the war flick The Hurt Locker. The film centers on a bomb disposal unit in the Iraqi war and will also star Ralph Fiennes and Willem Dafoe.
Jake Gyllenhaal demonstrated a bizarre fascination with white brief underwear on a recent trip to Bloomingdale's. An employee at the department store watched Gyllenhaal "combing through every style" of men's underwear with a salesperson. "A good ten minutes later, Jake was still at it," says the eyewitness. "Holding up a pair of tight white briefs that he'd pulled out of the package to examine, as if he'd never seen tighty whities before in his entire life. It was hilarious. He looked very confused and had a furrowed brow... He was examining undies like an anthropologist in the city's most highly trafficked department store."
