| GlobalPost is pleased to invite you to a webinar with Elaine Sciolino, Paris correspondent and former bureau chief for the New York Times, who will discuss her new book "La Seduction: How the French Play the Game of Life."
La Seduction explores how the quest for sensual pleasure affects nearly all aspects of French life. The book examines how sexual repartee and conquest drive politics, and it provides entertaining anecdotes that demystify the culture of one of America's most perplexing allies.
According to the NY Times Book Review, "At its best, La Seduction crackles with the sharp, rueful wit of an outsider who has achieved some insight into Gallic dos and don'ts largely by running afoul of them herself."
Sciolino has a unique perspective on France. In 2010, she was decorated a chevalier of the Legion of Honor, the highest honor of the French state, for her "special contribution" to the friendship between France and the United States. She is one of the only non-French members of Femmes Forum, a Paris-based private club of 200 of the leading women living in France.
She will be interviewed by David Case, GlobalPost's membership editor, and will take questions from the audience.
Space is limited, and priority for this call will be granted to GlobalPost members. To ensure your attendance, you can join GlobalPost for less than $3 per month, at www.globalpost.com/members/information.
