Many observers, pundits, and talk-show hosts are beginning to forward the notion of a McCain/Thompson GOP ticket saying that John McCain should pick former candidate Fred Thompson as his running mate. They are calling this a dream ticket. They are only half right.
The only dream part of a McCain/Thompson ticket is Fred Thompson. McCain is a complete and utter nightmare. Having Fred Thompson on the ticket would certainly make me a lot more comfortable voting for them. Hopefully McCain will be smart enough to make Thompson his choice.
You wanna talk about a dream scenario? Here's one for you. McCain picks Thompson as his running mate, but at the convention, party leaders and delegates decide to flip the ticket and put Thompson on top and McCain as VP. That would be almost perfect. Truly perfect would be Thompson for President without McCain anywhere in sight.
I know what you're thinking, dream on blogger boy. Oh well, at least it's fun to think about and dream about. And, sometimes dreams do actually come true.
