Sometimes when we are asked to do something we really don't want to do, or shouldn't have to do, we respond or are at least tempted to respond by saying "that's not my job".
Our so-called leaders in our federal government are asking us to do something we shouldn't be asked to do, accept a policy of amnesty for criminal immigrants. And those of us who oppose having this shoved down our throats are being demonized and vilified.
So, I thought I would take this occasion to speak what I think is probably on the minds of many Americans by declaring the following;
It's not my job to learn a foreign language in order to communicate with immigrants who broke our laws to get here.
It's not my job to change or adjust my way of living to accommodate illegal immigrants.
It's not my job to pay higher taxes so illegal immigrants can have access to government benefits that some legal Americans can't get.
It's not my job to wink, nod, and look the other way while our so-called government leaders ignore the problem of illegal immigration.
It's not my job to financially support the children of immigrants who come here illegally.
It's not my job to provide or pay for healthcare or education for those who come here illegally or their children.
It's not my job to sit by idly while our government proposes to legalize and legitimize law breaking.
It's not my job to elect or re-elect politicians who don't have the spine to stand against illegal immigration.
IT IS MY JOB, AND THE JOB OF EVERY freedom loving, patriotic American to stand against the Bush administration's immigration policy and to vote for a truly conservative candidate in the upcoming Presidential primaries. That is not Rudy Guiliani. He is only half conservative at best, just like George Bush. It is also not John McCain.
I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK! And I plan to do everything I can to get it back, and that includes speaking out, and only supporting truly conservative candidates. Any other true conservatives, any other freedom loving, patriotic Americans out there care to join me, or am I on my own here???
