The Associated Press put a moratorium on Paris Hilton stories last week, after a review of the past year's reports showed the heiress had appeared on the wire an average of twice a week. The AP's entertainment editor sent out a memo last week advising that no mention of Hilton would be made (barring any major incident). "There was a surprising amount of hand-wringing," said the editor after the announcement. "A lot of people in the newsroom were saying this was tampering with the news." One staffer backed the idea, saying, "This is a great idea - can we add North Korea?" By the end of the week, the AP editor said he was generally pleased with the experiment, despite Hilton's name appearing in a couple of stories. Anyone else think bloggers should all follow suit??CELEBRITY TRENDS offers latest entertainment information, celebrity movie, celebrities apprentice, celeb archive, celebs deaths, celebrity movie, rehab, pictures, video, wallpaper, funny picture and more.
