Detective School Q adalah sebuah manga karya Seimaru Amagi dan Fumiya Sato yang juga merupakan pengarang Detektif Kindaichi. Bercerita tentang Grup Detektif yang berasal dari Sekolah Detektif yang dipimpin oleh Morihiko Dan. Pemeran utama pada komik ini bernama Kyu Renjo, seorang anak Kelas 3 SMP. Selain Kyu ada beberapa orang lainnya, di antaranya Megumi Minami, Kintaro Toyama, Kazuma Narusawa dan Ryu Amakusa.

Cerita berkisar di seputar aktivitas mereka sehari-hari di sekitar sekolah, pemecahan kasus serta konflik dengan organisasi kriminal bernama Meiosei.

CNS News article on Phillipe Calderon's visit to U.S.

This whole debate and dispute over the Arizona immigration law would almost be comical if it wasn't so pathetically sad. Add to the mix a visit to the U.S. by Mexican President Phillipe Calderon in which he scolded us for being too tough on illegal immigrants and our so-called leaders in Washington agreeing with and applauding his comments, and you get a very telling picture.

If any criticism of the Arizona law is justitifed it is that law is NOT TOUGH ENOUGH!. In comparison to Mexico's immigration law's, Arizona's law is almost a joke. So tell me where exactly does Calderon get off coming over here and lecturing us about how unfair and over the top the Arizona law is??

If you can't see how ridiculous all the protesting is and how vapid and intellectually vacant the arguments against enforcement of immigration law is from this comparison, then you must be either really stupid, just totally unplugged and not paying attention, or so blinded by ideology and your own agend that you can't see the facts right before your eyes.

If anything needs to change about the Arizona law, it needs to be redone and modeled after Mexico's law. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. And, as much as you La Raza types and other supporters of illegals may have enjoyed Calderon's visit and comments, guess what, HE DOES NOT DICTATE OR SET U.S. POLICY! And neither do you!! Get over yourselves.

The most successful movie franchise of all time is no longer James Bond, it's now the "Harry Potter" series, which recently edged out James Bond.

According to Box Office Mojo, the first six adaptations of J.K. Rowling's beloved books have earned a staggering $5.4 billion worldwide.

The 22 films considered part of the official Bond canon have earned an estimated $5 billion globally.

Still, Bond is certainly Hollywood's greatest franchise in terms of endurance and longevity. Since the first Bond adventure, "Dr. No" in 1962, it has thrived for 48 years, although the 23rd Bond picture is reportedly on hold for now.

Bond may need to stick around awhile to have any chance of overtaking Potter.

Introducing - Thomas Ikimi - The Nigerian Hollywood Movie Director

31 year old handsome movie director, Thomas Ikimi, may not be known in Nollywood, but in Hollywood, the Nigerian movie director has made a name for himself as the first Nigerian to direct a Hollywood movie.

His movie, Legacy, featuring Idris Elba (featured above with Thomas) will be released in Nigeria later in the year.

Legacy will be showing next at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, followed by the American Black Film Festival in Miami.
 

Mini Bio
Thomas Ikimi was born in Westminster, London on April 10th 1979. He is of Nigerian descent. He attended primary school in Nigeria, prep and public school in England and university in America. He holds a literature and writing degree from Columbia University, New York.

Thomas' student film, 'Limbo' (2005), after a showing at the Cannes Film Market in 2005, was subsequently invited to the Taormina International Film Festival in Sicily, Italy as an Official Selection. It was one of only 12 films chosen worldwide, and had the added honour of opening the festival. This brought attention to Thomas due to the fact 'Limbo' only cost $9000 to produce mostly on his student credit card, and it was in a fest where the $153 million Batman Begins was premiering in Italy.

Thomas was a second year student when he wrote, directed and produced the film, balancing the 2 1/2 week shoot with his mid term exams. He was nominated for best director and best picture at the Eerie Horror Festival 2004, and he won the Honorable Mention Award at the Flint International Film Festival 2005. Thomas has been working as a screenwriter in London since 2005, writing and developing screenplays for producers.

Obama - Bloggers bad for democracy.

President Obama said recently that bloggers were “bad for democracy”. Well Mr. President, let me set you straight on several issues on which you are clearly uninformed and uneducated. I will start by reminding you that America is not a democracy. We are a representative republic. Democracy basically equates to mob rule or majority rule. In our system, which you sir clearly have no clue about or desire to participate in, we the people elect representatives to go to Washington and carry out our wishes. In other words sir, WE run the country, not you. You are there to work for and serve us, not yourself, not special interests and we certainly are not here to bow to or serve you.



Bloggers like myself are simply exercising our God-given and Constitutionally protected right to express our views, beliefs, and opinions. The exercise of this right is not “dangerous” to any one or anything except possibly to the anti-American, anti-freedom socialist agenda that President Obama and others on the left want to inflict upon us. Individual rights, freedoms, and liberties are always a threat to tyrants and dictators and the sheeple who blindly follow them.


So, I will say this to my fellow bloggers out there; keep up the good work. We are known more and defined better by those who oppose us than by those who don’t. Clearly, the president and his minions, many of whom will no doubt be reading this post soon, feel threatened by the things we say. That is because what we say is true, patriotic, and right for American. Which is totally the opposite of their beliefs and agenda. If I was them, I would feel threatened by me too. You can rest assured of one thing, the more loudly they protest, bellyache, and complain, the more fervently I will carry on in my mission.

US Flag Offensive

Well, well, well. It now appears that the American flag is offensive to faculty and staff at at least one AMERICAN high school. Follow the link below for the full story:

And people wonder why Arizona adopted a new immigration law and 14 other states are considering similar measures. This is why. A school sends 5 students home for wearing American Flag shirts to school on cinco de mayo. To make this story even more rich and ripe for criticism, the assistant principal who sent the kids home was a latin-American named Miguel Rodriguez. And they want us to believe there was no racial or ethnic bias at work here??

The outrage should not have been over the kids wearing patriotic t-shirts to an AMERICAN high school. It should have been over the fact that a Mexican holiday is observed in American high schools. We can't observe Christmas and Easter for what they are and acknowledge their true meaning and signifcance, but yet we have a holiday that means nothing to the average American shoved in our faces and down our throats. Some say Liberalism will destroy and is destroying American, and that is true, however political correctness like this has a head start that Liberalism may never catch or overcome.

And there is the matter of immigrants from Mexico saying they just want to come here and be Americans. Their idea of being Americans apparently means coming over here and forcing us either through litigation or legislation to adapt to them and their ways and culture instead of them adapating to our ways and our culture through the natural process of assimilation.

They demand the right to wear, fly, or display the Mexican flag, right here or U.S. soil, and yet express outrage and even disgust at our display of OUR flag, the American flag in OUR country. They say they want to be Americans, yet they reject everything that makes someone a true American. Someone explain to me exactly how that works please. Don't waste your time or your breath, it can't be done. Many of these who so loudly and proudly express their displeasure over the display of the stars and stripes ARE NOT EVEN IN THIS COUNTRY LEGALLY. Apparently to them, breaking our laws to come here and contiuing to break our laws by staying here illegally and committing other crimes while here, is their idea of becoming an American.

I will bottom line it for you from my standpoint. Many brave men and women fought and died in many wars so that any and all paritotic Americans who wish can proudly display the American flag on a pole in front of their home or business, on a bumper sticker on their car, on a t-shirt, however they wish to do so. To say that such a proud display of our flag is offensive is to urinate on their memory and their scarifice. Some will say these brave souls died for the rights of the protestors and dissenters too, and for the most part that is true. They DID NOT, however, die for the made-up, non-existent rights of CRIMINAL IMMIGRANT INVADERS who are here ILLEGALLY. They have only right, the right to LEAVE.

I am only speaking for myself and my family here, but we will proudly display the American flag 24/7/365 n some form or fashion whether any of these malcontents like it or not. If you find that offensive, then GOOD. I hope you get offended enough that you GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY! It truly is a sad day in America when we are expected to have sensitivity for the perceived rights of others when they have no regard whatsoever for our rights or our laws. It signals the beginning of the end for America.

Mesothelioma Cancer patient dies before collecting winnings for living another year

Jon Matthews was diagnosed with mesothelioma – a cancer linked to asbestos – in April 2006.

But the widower, from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, refused to accept his doctor's prognosis that he would be dead within months and decided to bet against it.
 

Keen to defy the doctor's prediction that he would not see in 2007, he placed a £100 stake with odds of 50/1 with bookmaker William Hill that he would remain alive until June 1 2008. This won him £5,000.

He made a further bet of the same amount and odds that he would survive until June 1 2009, which netted him another £5,000 last year, at the age of 59.

His third and final wager of £100 at 100/1 that he would survive until June 1 this year would have netted him £10,000 if he had lived another few weeks.

But he died last Monday, missing out on his final jackpot.

Graham Sharp, who took what he called the ''unique'' bet for William Hill, said it had given Mr Matthews an incentive to fight the disease.

He said: ''I was very sad when I heard he'd died. I'd been in touch with Jon since he placed the bet and I'm just delighted that it gave him so much fun and enjoyment.


''When he first approached us about it I was in two minds and thought we'd be accused of doing something in bad taste. But it gave him an incentive to keep on battling through the disease.

''I was delighted to pay out the £5,000 twice.''

He described Mr Matthews as a very positive man who had given much of his winnings to charity but spent some of them on enjoying himself – smoking, drinking and betting on horses and dogs.

He added: ''He proved that what is often dispiriting news from a doctor doesn't necessarily mean you can't make the most of the time you've got left.''

Mr Matthews said last year: ''I think I'm the first person in the world to bet on my own life.''

He added that the longest doctors at Harefield Hospital in Middlesex had heard of anyone surviving mesothelioma after diagnosis was 25 months.

Micheal Essien battles Father

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has hit out at claims that he has neglected his ailing father describing the allegations as 'false, vile and degrading'.

His father, James, told a local newspaper and radio station recently that the Chelsea star does not provide for him, an accusation the midfielder says is calculated to 'destroy me in the eyes of the people of Ghana and disgrace my family.'

Despite the claims of his father who is a former player with local giants Hearts of Oak, Essien insists he built a house, bought a car, provides medical care and money to his dad even though the man neglected him as a child.

“Given what I have done for my father, when I was told of the false, vile and degrading comments he made about me, I wept because people normally do not get insults for doing good,” said the Chelsea star in a press statement on Monday.

“But my father decided to pay me back in such a terrible way. Because of this I have been unfortunately forced to say what I have done for him because he has gone to the extreme to disgrace my family. I will like to state the following facts:

“1. My father currently lives in a three-bedroom house I instructed my sister to build for him with my own money.

“2. He is visited monthly and more recently twice a week by my sister Diana on my orders to regularly give him money and other essentials I send. My mother, whom he has insulted so much, also provides for him.

“3. I bought a car for him to make his transportation easier and part of the money I provide for him is used to fuel the car or repair it when it breaks down.

“4. When his illness broke out I asked for him to be taken to the Asikuma Hospital but he said he wants traditional medicine. I provided money for him to undergo traditional treatment. It came to nothing and I ordered for him to be taken to the hospital. My family I believe have also organised for a nurse to come home and look after him on regular bases.”

Despite the anger generated by his father's allegation the Black Stars midfielder says he will continue to offer support to his dad.

“I want to state here categorically that even after such distasteful comments; I will continue to support my father as I believe it is the right thing to do,” Essien said.

This is not the first time such an allegation has been made by James K. Essien as he made similar claims to the English newspaper the Sunday Mirror in January 2008.

The Press Complaints Commission ruled in favour of Essien which resulted in a grovelling apology from the newspaper.

Suns play activists, not basketball


During Wednesday night’s NBA playoff game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns, Suns players wore uniforms which contained the words “Los Suns”. According to team officials this was done as a show of unity and solidarity with the Arizona immigrant community and against the state’s recent passage of a tough new anti-illegal immigration law. Oh how I wish the Spurs could have won this game.


It is not the job of sports teams to take on the roll of activists, it is their job to entertain. Nothing more, nothing less. When they cross the line over into social or political activism, they lose respect and credibility. Especially when the cause they are championing is one that un-American like illegal immigration. I’m sure they gained the support of all the others in Arizona and the whole country who favor lawlessness, but not of law-abiding patriotic Americans.


In the immigration debate, both in Arizona and nationally, the Phoenix Suns have become part of the problem, not the solution.

Does violent movie declare war on Arizona?

The link above is to a story that ran 5/6/10 on FoxNews.com about a new, violent movie that calls for the killing of a state Senator who favors tough illegal immigration laws. The Senator is played by Robert Deniro. Cheech Marin, Lindsey Lohan, Jessica Alba, and Steven Segall also appear in this slash film directed by Robert Rodriguez.

The story asserted that director Rodriguez was using the film to speak out against, and even “declare war” on Arizona for its tough stance on illegal immigration. Oddly enough, the story appears to have been removed from FoxNews.com and the link goes nowhere. I looked up the movie titled “Machete” on IMDB.com and from what I can see appears to be nothing like what the story reported it to be. I guess we can all look at the plot summary and watch the trailer for ourselves and draw our own conclusions.

This story states that a Fox News poll shows that most American voters believe Arizona was right to take action against illegal immigration. This just goes to show, that when push come to shove, the average American voter is smarter, and dare I say even more patriotic than the media, the illegal immigrantion activists, and even President Obama. It is ALWAYS right to uphold and enforce the law. ALWAYS. Arizona governor Jan Brewer is smart enough to know this, and apparently, so are mot Americans. There actually may be hope for this country yet.

2011 Blockbusters - Highly Anticipated Movies from Yahoo Movie Talk

It was just announced that the prequel "X-Men: First Class" will bring Marvel's mutants back to theaters. Thor and Captain America will get their own solo movies before joining "The Avengers." Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." A third "Transformers" movie is planned for the July 4th holiday. Animation can't avoid sequels either, with Pixar's "Cars" and DreamWorks' "Kung Fu Panda" getting second movies. And the last half of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will mark the boy wizard's final big-screen adventure. 

The Warner Bros./IMAX deal also includes other impressive movies that don't have release dates yet. They include "Gravity," a sci-fi drama with Robert Downey Jr., "Dark Shadows," with Johnny Depp as a vampire, "Fury Road," the revamp of the "Mad Max" series, and a new take on "Superman" that Christopher Nolan is also producing. But before any of that, Nolan's next film as a director, "Inception" with Leonardo DiCaprio, will unspool on IMAX and regular screens this July 16.

And if the Mayans were right about the world ending in December of 2012, let's hope it won't be until after the release of "The Hobbit." The prequel to "The Lord of the Rings" is set to roll out on IMAX screens that month. The apocalypse will be much easier to take if we get to see that movie first.

President Goodluck Jonathan has declared that Late President Umaru Muasa Yar’Adua has left a vacuum with his integrity, commitment to due process and the rule of law and his deep sense of patriotism to the nation, saying he will miss him the most.

The President made this during his sworn in ceremony as the substantive president of the country following Wednesday’s death of ailing President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

In a speech after his swearing in, President Jonathan said, he was shocked by the news of the death of his boss and friend, with whom they were elected in 2007 to govern the country.

‘My dear brothers and sisters, it is with deep sense of loss and profound sorrow that I received the news of the passing on of His Excellency, President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua, Grand Commander of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Our President passed away peacefully in the Presidential villa in Abuja yesterday evening, the 5th day of May 2010. While we submit to the will of God as a people of faith, this sad event has placed our nation in deep mourning’.

The president condole with the former first lady, Hajiya Turai and the entire Yar’Adua family, saying, “On behalf of the good people of our great Country Nigeria, I stand by our First Lady, Her Excellency Hajia Turai Yar’ Adua, the Children, our Mother, Hajia Habiba Musa Yar Adua, and the entire Yar’ Adua family and offer our heartfelt condolences on the demise of our amiable leader.

Nonso Diobi Survives car Accident

The actor and Glo ambassador was involved in a serious car crash that left his Pathfinder truck badly damaged. The incident happened on Wednesday April 14th 2010 along Lekki/Epe Expressway, Lagos.

Ruggedman to tour 20 states in nigeria and uk

RUGGEDMAN is set to release two singles, She N Ma Swagga, which features Ice Prince, and Sanwo featuring Vino, in less than two weeks. She N Ma Swagga is already an internet hit just 24 hours after it's release.

For the album launch, Ruggedman plans to tour 20 states in Nigeria, and Manchester, London, Dublin, Babrigan on the outskirts of Dublin, and Sierra Leone.

On his relationship with NB Plc, after successfully handling the just concluded Ster Quest, he said it was great because every time he was called to work for the company, he delivers. His excellent performance last year earned him the opportunity to handle the Quest again this year.

Caught wearing a suit for the first time in a while, he said he was being himself. The suit is just me being a host. I don't want people to think it's a rap show just because a rapper is hosting it. Star Quest has different themes like Jazz, Naija Beat, Rap Battle and I dress accordingly to portray each theme.

The first time I came on set without my head warmer, a senior brand manager asked if it was my idea or I was being paid to do it. I told him it was my idea.

Students at war with Terry G.

There have been plenty rumours surrounding Terry G these past weeks. Was he really arrested, beaten up and detained by the Police? Was he involved in a car crash two days after his colleauge Dagrin passed?

NET investigations can now reveal that the rave singer-producer was actually arrested and detained, after failing to honour a performance engagement in the University of Benin, January.

As the poster and receipt above show, Terry was contracted to perform at a January 29, 2010 gig organised by the University’s Student Union Government.

But, after receiving an initial payment of N500, 000, the act and his crew reportedly failed to show up in Benin.

After repeatedly trying to get a refund from the singer’s management (including a sum of N68, 000 being cost of air tickets already purchased), Emike Cyril, the SUG Welfare Director tells NET they were left with no choice but to call in the Police.

Terry G was reportedly arrested and detained at the Oduduwa Police Division in GRA, Ikeja on Tuesday April 13, 2010. Sources say he was made to sign an undertaken promising to pay up the balance (including the full cost of the said show, totalling N1, 174, 000) by April 20.

Police PRO Frank Mba confirms to NET that the Police were called in to resolve the matter between Terry G and the UNIBEN SUG. ‘Since has was gentleman enough to accept his fault and agree to be responsible for the damages, we decided to let him go without locking him in a cell, after signing the undertaken.’ Mba told NET.

’He told us to get a bottle of Hennessey into every room booked for him and his four crew members and lied to us that he was on his way to the airport at 12:30pm and that he missed his flight. When we re-booked another flight with Arik, he still didn’t get on. We made several calls to his cell phone number to confirm his status at 4:30pm, but he wasn’t picking until the NANS president, Comrade Jude Imagwe called him with his phone and gave him an ultimatum to pay up for all the expenses in 48hours’ Emiko told NET in an interview last week.

Terry G was not available for comments, despite repeated visits by our reporter to his home and studio; and several phone calls to his mobile phones. But his PA, one Uche, claims ‘the matter has been resolved’.

According to Cyril Emiko, below are the conditions the National Association of Nigerian Students are asking Terry G and his managers to meet, in order to drop the case against him
He must pay the N1, 174, 000.00 for the whole expenses involved.
He will come to perform in UNIBEN without being paid a dime or transported by the Student Union Government.
He must go on national TV and apologize to the UNIBEN’s SUG and NANS.

Terry’s PA and Emiko confirmed to NET, last week, that the money transfer has been made (at First Bank, Fagba branch in Lagos). ‘But all other conditions still stand’ Emiko insists. ’he said he is sending some people in for a meeting to review the conditions. He doesn’t want to come to perform in UNIBEN, but if he does not, he will be hearing from our lawyer.’
