A little over a week ago, Dallas Police motorcycle office Victor Lozada died in a crash while escorting Senator Hillary Clinton's motorcade through Dallas. Clinton canceled her Ft. Worth campaign rally and visited Lozada's family at the hospital where he was taken after the crash. This past friday, February 29, a memorial service for Officer Lozada was held at Prestonwood Baptist Church, and Senator Clinton was one of those in attendance.
Now some who oppose the senator and presidential candidate may accuse her of attending the service merely for the photo op and positive publicity. As harsh a critic as I have been, am, and always will be of Senator Clinton and her politics, I have to give her credit and the benefit of the doubt on this one.
As much as I disdain, dislike, and disagree with virtually everything the senator and her party promote and stand for, in this one instance, I am willing to say "hats off" to Senator Clinton. Political posturing or not, political stunt or not, her presence at officer Lozada's memorial service was very classy and I'm sure it meant a lot to his family.
However, with all of that being said, I still hope that Senator Clinton gets beaten like a drum in the primaries this Tuesday.
