Am I the only one who has noticed that it seems like most if not all of our retailers, media outlets and employers have become stupid when it comes to a certain December holiday? It's like they're not smart enough to know that the day we observe on December 25 actually has a name, and it's name is Christmas. They seem content in their ignorance and apparently choose to stay that way. I guess they really believe that ignorance is bliss.
I have to wonder though if they are this devoid of even the slightest shred of intelligence, how did they rise to the top of their chosen professions? I mean, you don't have to have a college degree to know that we here in America celebrate Christmas on December 25. Even toddlers know this much. I guess all of these retailers, executives, and broadcasters are not even as smart as a 5 year-old, let alone a 5th grader.
What's even more sad and pathetic is that many of our government agencies have lost their minds as well. They always refer to the "holiday" or they wish people "season's greetings". Christmas isn't a season. It occurs in a season, winter, but it is not a season by itself. They are in charge of our cities, counties, states, and even our nation, and they don't even know the seasons or the proper name of a particular holiday?
The saddest thing of all is the fact that all of these poor deprived souls think they are the smart ones, the enlightened ones. They don't realize just how dumb and devoid of logic, reason, and common sense political correctness really is. Political correctness is not smart. It is not enlightened. It dumbs down the meaning of words and strips away all logic and reason from debates and discussions.
I don't hate these political correctness lovers, I pity them. They are a sad lot indeed. If you happen to run across some poor soul who has traded wisdom and intelligence for political correctness, please take a few minutes to try and help them re-learn what they once new. Let your logic and common sense infect them so they don't have spend another Christmas in the dark. You'll be doing them, and your fellow man a great service.

Why Mike Huckabee is NOT our man.
You would think that as a Christian and a staunch Conservative that I would be all atwitter over Mike Huckabee as a potential GOP Presidential nominee. Well, if you were to think that you would be wrong.
I will not be supporting Mike Huckabee for the following reasons. While I admire his stances on issues of faith and morality, he has a long ways to go on other issues. He supports giving taxpayer funded government benefits to illegal immigrants and thinks we should just overlook the fact that they are illegal. "They're all God's children" he says. So are the rapists, murderers, and pedophiles we have incarcerated in our prisons too. That doesn't mean we're going to overlook their law-breaking and even reward them for it.
Most recently he has been talking about a so-called biblical mandate for solving the global warming crisis. He claims to be a minister but yet has such a frail grasp of scripture as to assert some thing this vapid?? What else is he deceiving us about? The fact is the Earth is functioning exactly the way God created it to function. He intended for the Earth to have cyclical periods of warming and cooling. Does Huckabee think so little of God and His creation that he actually thinks another one of God's creations, mankind, can destroy something as vast and complex as this planet?
I would challenge him to show me chapter and verse for his assertion that the Bible commands us to solve this contrived problem. I would also challenge him and any other global warming sycophants out there to explain to me how then if man and our cars and planes and factories are responsible for our impending doom, why was the Earth warmer in the year 1000 A.D. than it is now? None of things blamed for this so-called crisis existed back then. If it isn't cyclical the way God planned for it to be, then what caused it??
We know he raised taxes a ton while he was governor of Arkansas. Now he says he did that to fund education. Well, funding education by raising taxes is a very liberal thing to do. Besides, if he used this money to improve education why is Arkansas' educational system ranked 32nd out of the 50 states? What is there to show for all of the money confiscated from taxpayers? Looks like not a whole lot.
Mike Huckabee is not the place to go for true Conservative Christian values. I would support Mitt Romney before I would support Huckabee. Still though, I am firmly in the Fred Thompson camp. No, there will NEVER be another Ronald Reagan, but at least for this election cycle, Thompson is about as close as we're going to get. It certainly isn't Rudy, or McCain, or Huckabee.

Woman kicked off bus for reading Bible to her kids.
FORT WORTH, TX - Christine Lutz was riding Fort Worth's "T" bus on Sunday morning reading her bible to her 2 kids. No passengers were complaining, no one seemed to mind. No one that is but the bus driver. He apparently has a problem with or feels intimidated and/or threatened by The Word of God. He asked her to stop reading to her kids. She said "no". A little while later, a manager for the bus line escorted Lutz and her 2 kids off of the bus.
The bus line will claim, and most likely successfully, that the reason she was removed was because she refused to comply with the driver's request to stop reading to her kids. What they will NEVER admit or own up to is the FACT that the driver had NO RIGHT to ask her to stop. She has the exact same free speech, free expression, and freedom of religion rights that he does.
That's the problem with the anti-God or anti-Christianity crowd. They stand up, speak out and demand that their free speech rights and their right to practice a different religion or no religion at all be honored, respected, and welcomed with open arms. But you let a Christian exercise their very same God-given free speech and religion rights and somehow this is reprehensible and has to be stopped. Silence the opposition. Selective free speech and freedom of religion, that's what that is. That ground you feel shaking beneath your feet is our founding fathers spinning in their graves.
This country was founded on CHRISTIAN principles by CHRISTIAN men. Christianity IS the religious heritage of our nation whether these Godless bozos like it or not. The Pilgrims didn't leave England because they wanted to freely practice Islam, Bhuddism, Satanism, atheism, or any others ism. They fled England to seek a place where they could freely practice Christianity and thus founded America.
The concepts of free speech and freedom of religion have been so hijacked and so corrupted by political correctness and the sickening liberal buzz words "tolerance" and "diversity" that if our founding fathers could come back to life they would not recognize this nation that they founded. They would be thoroughly saddened and sickened by such a rape of the Constitution.
We have got take our country back and not allow things like this bus incident go unchecked. I encourage any and everyone who loves freedom, liberty, and loves God and His Word to NEVER spend another dime on the Fort Worth "T" buses unless and until they publicly admit that their driver was wrong and they were wrong to back him up and publicly apologize to Ms. Lutz and her children for the way they were treated. They don't deserve on penny of our money. Don't give it to them.

Texan of the Year
Those bozos at the that liberal rag The Dallas Morning News have done it again. You'll never guess who they've named "Texan of the Year" for 2007. Not George W. Bush, not Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and not Dallas Cowboys' Owner Jerry Jones, even though the latter were up for consideration. No, they named the illegal immigrant as "Texan of the Year".
Now, there is so much wrong with this that I almost don't know where to begin. Aside from the obvious and very belabored point that you don't reward law-breaking under any circumstance for any reason, is the larger fact that words mean things. To call someone a "Texan" implies that they are a legal citizen of the state and of the United States. These illegals are neither. They are not Texans by definition, therefore they cannot be "Texan of the Year".
DMN claims that they chose them because of the impact they have had on the news and on the everyday lives of countless Texans. I don't dispute the fact that they have had such an impact. They have a very detrimental impact on our economy and on the rule of law. That doesn't in any way justify this newspaper honoring them in such a way. But, it shouldn't surprise anyone that they would try to prop up their liberal agenda by attempting to legitimize criminal behavior.

So, some of you actually want Rue Paul, I mean Ron Paul to be our next president, huh? Well, while I agree with the idea that we should be paying far lower taxes and should have much smaller government, I cannot support anyone who would say something this idiotic; "When Fascism comes to America it will be wearing the flag and carrying a cross." He clearly showed his disdain for patriotic Americans and for Christians by this statement. Maybe he should have run as a Democrat instead of a Republican. Kids' Letters to Santa - Funny
Kids can truly be our greatest source of entertainment at times. Enjoy the following excerpts, all real, from various letters to Santa published in news papers over the years. My comments will be in blue type prior to or following each.
Dyslexic little kids should really have a parent write their letters to Santa for them. Case in point;

From The Grand Saline Sun in 2004; "Dear Santa, I lick you. I hope you lick me too...." Now, I really hope this kid meant to say "I like you" and just couldn't spell "like". If not this is very disturbing...lol
And, my favorite, from The Texoma Enterprise this year; "Dear Santa, I want a dike for Christmas..." Let's hope this kid meant "bike" and just wrote his "b" wrong, and that he was not asking Santa for a muscular, 6'4" lesbian for Christmas...lol!

Amy Winehouse Arrested in London
LONDON (Dec. 18) - Troubled British soul singer Amy Winehouse was arrested on Tuesday as part of an investigation into perverting the course of justice, London police and her publicist said.
The 24-year-old, whose husband Blake Fielder-Civil is being held on remand accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, went to a London police station to be arrested in agreement with police.
"It was voluntary and pre-arranged," a representative at her publicity agency said, asking not to be quoted by name.
In a statement, London's Metropolitan police said: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at an East London police station in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice. She remains in custody."
Winehouse, nominated for six Grammy awards, has struggled with drugs and alcohol since shooting to fame. She was pictured this month wandering the streets of London at dawn in only a bra and jeans.
The tattooed singer has canceled all her remaining planned concerts this year saying she cannot perform while her husband is in jail.
Fielder-Civil, 25, was charged in November in an investigation into perverting the course of justice, days before he was due to go on trial for beating up a bartender.

Amy to be questioned in Fielder-Civil case
Police have confirmed Amy Winehouse will be questioned over the case against imprisoned husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
He is currently behind bars, as the investigation into an alleged assault continues, and the star could now be implicated in the charges.
Fielder-Civil was reportedly arrested amid claims he had offered to pay off a key witness in the case. Police are to seek clarification from the singer about his income.
A 'source' from Scotland Yard explained: "We do want to talk to her about matters, particularly financial ones, which may be important in this case.
"It seems that in her marriage she has been the breadwinner and has kept her husband in pocket money.
"We have looked at their financial affairs and there are questions we'd like to ask her."

SCHOOL 1967 vs. 2007
Scenario: Jack goes quail hunting before school, pulls into school parking lot with shotgun in gun rack.
1967 -Vice principal comes over to look at Jack's shotgun. He goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2007 -School goes into lock down, and FBI is called. Jack is hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers.
Scenario: Johnny and Mark get into a fistfight after school.
1967 - Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up best friends. Nobody goes to jail; nobody is arrested; nobody is expelled.
2007 - Police called. SWAT team arrives. Johnny and Mark are arrested and charged with assault. Both are expelled even though Johnny started it.
Scenario: Jeffrey won't be still in class, disrupts other students.
1967 - Jeffrey sent to office and given a good paddling by the principal. He returns to class, sits still, and does not disrupt class again.
2007 - Jeffrey is diagnosed with ADD and given huge doses of ritalin. Becomes a zombie. School gets extra money from state because Jeffrey has a learning disability.
Scenario: Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt.
1967- Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college, and becomes a successful businessman.
2007 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy is placed in foster care and joins a gang. State psychologist tells Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself, and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has affair with psychologist.
Scenario: Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school.
1967- Mark shares aspirin with principal out on the smoking dock.
2007- Police called. Mark is expelled from school for drug violations. Car is searched for drugs and weapons.
Scenario: Pedro fails high school English.
1967 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English, goes to college.
2007- Pedro's cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English banned from core curriculum. Pedro is given a diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.
Scenario: Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from 4th of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle, blows up a red ant bed.
1967- Ants die.
2007 - Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Homeland Security, and FBI called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates parents; siblings are removed from home; computers confiscated. Johnny's dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.
Scenario: Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Heather. Heather hugs him to comfort him.
1967- In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2007 - Heather is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces three years in state prison. Johnny undergoes five years of therapy.
Looks to me like we need to go back to 1967 when it comes to our schools. Political correctness and zero tolerance are a joke and have destroyed our educational system. The equally sad part is a large number of people today want the same government who runs our schools, and runs them into the ground, to take over and run healthcare. The end result will be the same. Higher costs, higher taxes, and inferior quality. People talk about wanting "free" healthcare, just like we have "free" education. If it's "free", then why are we continually asked to pay more in taxes to pay for it??

2007 - Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Homeland Security, and FBI called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates parents; siblings are removed from home; computers confiscated. Johnny's dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.
Scenario: Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Heather. Heather hugs him to comfort him.
1967- In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2007 - Heather is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces three years in state prison. Johnny undergoes five years of therapy.
Looks to me like we need to go back to 1967 when it comes to our schools. Political correctness and zero tolerance are a joke and have destroyed our educational system. The equally sad part is a large number of people today want the same government who runs our schools, and runs them into the ground, to take over and run healthcare. The end result will be the same. Higher costs, higher taxes, and inferior quality. People talk about wanting "free" healthcare, just like we have "free" education. If it's "free", then why are we continually asked to pay more in taxes to pay for it??
