DIVORCE AGREEMENT
We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest
election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.
Here is a model separation agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.
We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).
We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies,Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .
You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.
We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.
We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.
Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years..
Sincerely,
John J. Wall
Law Student and an American
P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you.

Interview With Sharon Perlinger
Where were you born
I was born in Ghana, James Town. When was thatThat was in April, a few years ago. A lady's secret is her age
Can you tell us a little bit about your background, family and how you grew up
I grew up mostly in Kumasi. I went to school in Kumasi; I started in Primary and from there to Accra Girls Secondary School. I then left for Europe to do my secretarial course but before that I did a little of my secretarial course in YWCA where I met my first fiancé, who died in a car crash. He was half Lebanese and half Ghanaian. We had a girl together. I later got married to an Austrian. I was introduced to him sometime in April and by December we got married. We were married for about 15 years and got divorced. I had another girl with him so in all, I have two girls. I lived in Austria for about 23 years.Did you attend a modeling or fashion school as well
Yes I did fashion. When I was in Austria, I had one of the nicest modeling schools in Austria; it was called Isher Modisgesher and I ran it for about five years. I was at the time building this house and since fashion involves a lot of money, I had to put it on hold for a while to concentrate on building the house. Unfortunately, the architects misused a lot of my money so I had to leave Austria to come back to Ghana to finish my house. But I had a very successful fashion institution in Austria for about five years. What exactly were you doing there in Austria
I was doing fashion shows with Vestige, especially for evening wears. I was one of the few black ladies in Austria who was noticed. Anytime I had a fashion show, it was on the Austrian Television and they always classified me with the Princess of Monaco because I am also a princess. So anytime they talked about my fashion show, they would refer to me as a princess from Africa.
Would you attribute your success in fashion to your training in fashion/modeling or did it have anything to do with family heritage
Yes, my mother was a very elegant lady and my daddy had a lot of children. He had 10 with my mother and 10 outside the family. It was a big family and my mummy was really a mother. She taught us how to cook and take care of the home although we had all the necessary help around. She wanted us to become women when we grew up. I believe I am a woman of the house no matter how it is, I am a good housewife. I am not bragging, but this is what I do best. I am also good at business but not like a mother. Taking care of the home, family, and entertaining people; that's me and I think my family and friends would agree to that.
You were into fashion in Austria, what do you do in Ghana
At the moment I have started some projects. I am also doing the star scape project. Before coming to Ghana, I was doing some charity in Austria. I was in a society that helped the Eastern Bloc when there was war in Yugoslavia; we did some charity work to help the people there. I was the only African lady among them and I was doing so well. So when I came to Ghana, I said to myself, I did all these things there, so why don't I do something like that for my country? So I set up my philanthropist work, I started cooking and hosting soup kitchens for orphanages and hospitals.

I bet she's considered a traitor among her own people
Anne Wortham is Associate Professor of Sociology at Illinois State University and continuing Visiting Scholar at Stanford University 's Hoover Institution. She is a member of the American Sociological Association and the American Philosophical Association. She has been a John M. Olin Foundation Faculty Fellow, and honored as a Distinguished Alumni of the Year by the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education.
In fall 1988 she was one of a select group of intellectuals who were featured in Bill Moyer's television series, "A World of Ideas." The transcript of her conversation with Moyers has been published in his book, A World of Ideas. Dr. Wortham is author of The Other Side of Racism: A Philosophical Study of Black Race Consciousness which analyzes how race consciousness is transformed into
political strategies and policy issues.
She has published numerous articles on the implications of individual rights for civil rights policy, and is currently writing a book on theories of social and cultural marginality. Recently, she has published articles on the significance of multiculturalism and Afrocentricism in education, the politics of victimization and the social and political impact of political correctness. Shortly after an interview in 2004 she was awarded tenure. This article by her is something else.
No He Can't! by Anne Wortham
Fellow Americans,
Please know: I am black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul's name as my choice for president. Most importantly, I am not race conscious. I do not require a black president to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not require a black president to love the ideal of America.
I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping with
joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival – all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician.
I would have to deny the nature of the "change" that Obama asserts has come to America . Most importantly, I would have to abnegate my certain understanding that you have chosen to sprint down the road to serfdom that we have been on for over a century.
I would have to pretend that individual liberty has no value for the success of a human life. I would have to evade your rejection of the slender reed of capitalism on which your success and mine depend. I would have to think it somehow rational that 94 percent of the 12 million blacks in this country voted for a man because he looks like them (that blacks are permitted to play the race card), and that they were joined by self-declared "progressive" whites who voted for him because he doesn't look like them.
I would have to wipe my mind clean of all that I know about the kind of people who have advised and taught Barack Obama and will fill posts in his administration – political intellectuals like my former colleagues at the Harvard University 's Kennedy School of Government. I would have to believe that "fairness" is the equivalent of justice. I would have to believe that man who asks me to"go forward in a new spirit of service, in a new service of sacrifice" is speaking in my interest. I would have to accept the premise of a man that economic prosperity comes from the "bottom up," and who arrogantly believes that he can will it into existence by the use of government force.
I would have to admire a man who thinks the standard of living of the masses can be improved by destroying the most productive and the generators of wealth. Finally, Americans, I would have to erase from my consciousness the scene of 125,000 screaming, crying, cheering people in Grant Park, Chicago irrationally chanting "Yes We Can!" Finally, I would have to wipe all memory of all the times I have heard politicians, pundits, journalists, editorialists, bloggers and intellectuals declare that capitalism is dead – and no one, including especially Alan Greenspan, objected to their assumption that the particular version of the anti-capitalistic mentality that they want to replace with their own version of anti-capitalism is anything remotely equivalent to capitalism.
So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have elected a black man to the office of the president of the United States, the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and Jane Fonda is over – and Fonda won. Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like.
The self-righteous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction for having elected a black person. So, toast yourselves: 60s countercultural radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, Black America. Shout your glee Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a black man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to –Do Something! You now have someone who has picked up the baton of Lyndon Johnson's Great Society.
But you have also foolishly traded your freedom and mine – what little there is left – for the chance to feel
good. There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness.
Now this lady has got it figured out! Of course most other blacks will think she is a kook or a sell out or something. She speaks the truth with a lot of wisdom and common sense.
IF YOU DON'T PASS THIS ALONG FOR FEAR OF OFFENDING SOMEONE,
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!
Where's the change?
When he took office, our economy was in the toilet, banks and automakers were seeking government rescue, people were being laid off by the thousands, and the foreclosure rate was the highest it had ever been. We were fighting wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Global warming was allegedly reaching critical proportions. President Obama promised to change all of that.
Now he is in office and our economy is still in the tank, banks and automakers are still seeking bailout money, people are still being laid off by the thousands, and foreclosures are continuing at the same alarming rate. We are still fighting the wars in in Iraq and Afghanistan. And, we are still about to spontaneously combust from global warming. Is just me, or does anyone else out there think that they only thing that has changed really is the occupant of the White House??
If President Obama really wants to change what's wrong with America, he needs to start with the man in the mirror. He needs to change the Marxist/Socialist beliefs that he espouses. Unencumbered liberalism and socialism is what's wrong with America, not liberty, freedom, and national security. There is no legislative fix for the Constitution. It is not broken and does not require being fixed.
So, Mr. President, unless you and your cabinet want to resign and give way to someone who are true patriots and truly has America's best interests at heart, then you sir can keep the change. I'll have no part of it. They said it best in the movie Home Alone when they said "keep the change ya filthy animal". I could not agree more!! The only change I am interested in is the kind I can put in a vending machine.

A free country
Sadly though, for many Americans (and I use the term very guardedly) the notion of a "free country" has taken on a vastly different meaning these days. Far too many people in this country want free health care, free housing, free food, and free money. They want any and everything they can get for free. That is what a "free country" means to them. The hard, cold reality is nothing is free. Someone has to pay for all the free stuff these misguided souls think they are entitled to. The someones who end up paying for it all is each and every taxpayer. It may seem like its free, but rest assured, someone is paying for it.
The freedom to think you're entitled to all of this free stuff isn't free either. This freedom was bought and paid for by the blood, sweat, and tears of many brave men who have gone before us, and it is preserved and protected through the blood, sweat, and tears of the men and women of today's military.
Think about these things next time you hear someone refer to America as a "free country". Stop and think about what that really means and about those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I know I will.

Republican vs. Democrat
This year:
1. Outgoing President George W. Bush quietly boards his helicopter and leaves for Texas, commenting only: "Today is not about me. Today is a historical day for our nation and people."
Eight years ago
1. Outgoing President Bill Clinton schedules two separate radio addresses to the nation, and organizes a public farewell speech/rally in downtown Washington D.C. scheduled to directly conflict with incoming
President Bush's inauguration ceremony.
This year:
2. President Bush leaves office without issuing a single Presidential pardon, only granting a commutation of sentence to two former border patrol agents convicted of shooting a convicted drug smuggler. He does not grant any type of clemency to Scooter Libby or any other former political aide, ally, or business partner.
Eight years ago
2. President Clinton issues 140 pardons and several commutations of sentence on his final day in office. Included in these are: billionaire financier, convicted tax evader, and leading Democratic campaign contributor Marc Rich; Whitewater scandal figure Susan McDougal; Congressional Post Office Scandal figure and former Democratic Congressman Dan Rostenkowski; convicted bank fraud, sexual assault and child porn perpetrator and former Democratic Congressman Melvin Reynolds ; and convicted drug felon Roger Clinton, the President's half-brother.
This year
3. The Bush daughters leave gift baskets in the White House bedrooms for the Obama daughters, containing flowers, candy, stuffed animals, DVD's and CD's, and heartfelt notes of encouragement and advice for the young girls on how to prepare for their new lives in the White House.
Eight years ago
3. Clinton and Gore staffers rip computer wires and electrical outlets from the White House walls, stuff piles of notebook papers into the White House toilets, systematically remove the letter "W" from every computer key-pad in the entire White House, and damage several thousand dollars worth of furniture in the White House master bedroom.
So, what we have here is indisputable evidence that Republicans leave office with class, and Democrats leave office with no class at all.
An excellent description of Obamanomics and the Porkulus Package.
Rep. McCotter votes "no" on Porkulus after reading angry letter from a jobless constituent from Milford, Michigan.
-----
Dear Congressman McCotter,
I spoke with you on WJR Friday morning and want to thank you for your kindness and patience. I couldn’t get out everything I wanted to say because of my frustration. I would love to talk before Congress and the Senate. I would like to talk to them about the deplorable, reprehensible, and egregious waste they are considering with our tax dollars. I’m sorry this is long, but I want them to see what I see.
The wasteful spending they are considering is unconscionable to me. And I would like to ask them a few questions.
You see, I just lost my job. The company I worked for is eliminating 700 sales positions nationwide, about 15 will be affected in Michigan.
I would like to ask the Congress and Senate if they know what it’s like to sit at the dinner table and tell your 11 year old daughter that she can’t get a school yearbook because we need the money to buy groceries. And the stimulus package wants to give $4 Billion to ACORN, a company, I believe, that is under investigation for voter registration fraud. What jobs are they creating?
Do they know what it’s like to see the tears in your wife’s eyes when you tell her the conference call you were on just eliminated your position? And the stimulus package wants to spend $335 million on STD prevention? What jobs does that create?
Do they know what it feels like to tell your father in law that the daughter I married and promised to provide for that you just lost your job? And Barack Obama spends money on overseas abortions. And then says we need to end the politics of this issue. If he believed that he wouldn’t have done it, his decision was nothing but political. What jobs in the U.S. does that create?
Do they know what it feels like to return the shirts you just bought for work, on clearance, because you really needed new shirts and now you don’t even have a job? And Congress is taking an extra $93,000 each for petty cash increases. And WE are told to cut back on our spending? When I told my 7 year old son we had to make cuts he just wanted to know if we could still have our Sunday morning treat of a donut before we go to church. That’s all he wanted. I said we’d try our best. We’ve made sacrifices but you haven’t.
And do you know how it feels when you hear that companies given bail out money from TARP funds gave $18 Billion in bonuses? I’m wondering if I have enough money to pay my bills for 2 months. All they get is a mild rebuke from Washington saying, “You shouldn’t do that in these tough economic times.” They are an embarrassment. They should be forced to give back the $18 Billion with interest and penalties.
Do they know what it’s like to speak with someone who was in tears over losing their job because they think they’ll lose their house? How about the always upbeat guy who sounded depressed that he could lose his house because he just lost his job? And yet the stimulus package is loaded with pork.
Do you know what it’s like to have another coworker lose their job and are worried their spouse’s could be next? And this stimulus package wants $400 Million for HIV prevention. How does that create jobs?
Do they know how fearful it is to turn your heat down at night to 59 degrees and 65 in the day when your child is asthmatic and it can flare up from the cold? We can’t afford to raise our heat and the stimulus package wants to spend $75 Million on anti smoking ads. How does that create jobs?
By the way that’s $810 Million for pet projects. I have an idea stop having sex until your married and quit smoking! There’s your awareness program, that didn’t cost a dime. If they don’t know by now they don’t care.
The insults you pay to our auto executives when they ask for and interest bearing LOAN by asking them how they flew here. But when the banking industry seemingly makes a few phone calls they have $350 Billion given to them and we don’t even know where it went, except for the $18 Billion.
Do they know about the guy I just met whose entire company just took 20% pay cuts so they wouldn’t have to lay off employees? And this stimulus bill wants Million for sod on the new mall that’s already $600 million over budget. How is that creating jobs?
Recent polls show that less than 50% of Americans approve of this stimulus bill and yet Congress, with their recent 11% approval rating, the worst in history, tries to ram this bill down our throats. The send it to the Democratic Senate and tell us they know what’s best for our country. According to that 11%, I guess. Congress is supposed to govern for the people and not for themselves and yet when less than 50% approve of a plan they approve it anyway.
Why doesn’t the Senate have the guts to reject the pork spending portions of this bill and start over? Why don’t you get off your Ivory tower, pork barrel, ear marked, pet project behinds and do what we need of you?
Congressman McCotter, that’s what I’d like to say to the Senate. I would gladly go before them so they can hear what it’s like in the real world.
Sincerely,
Greg from Milford

Something to think about
All of us have something in our past that we regret doing. It may have been an honest mistake, a moral failure, or a foolish decision. We wish it had not happened, but it remains in our mind and often drags us down. With God's wisdom and the forgiveness He offers, we can focus on the future with hope.
While the past remains part of our lives, it doesn't have to determine our future.

Some recommendations - FYI
The best black and white copiers, in my opinion, based on the criteria mentioned above and on my experience:
Kyocera. They have a very low cost of ownership/operation and give outstanding print quality. They are extremely user friendly, rarely break down, and in the rare instances when they do, they are very technician friendly which greatly reduces down time and increases customer productivity. Find a dealer near you at:
http://usa.kyoceramita.com/americas/jsp/Kyocera/home.jsp Click on the "Where To Buy" tab.
Ricoh/Savin/Gestetner/Lanier. These copiers also give outstanding print quality. They are also very reliable and user friendly. Ease of repair when they do break down reduces down time and increases customer productivity. Find a dealer near you at:
http://www.ricoh-usa.com/
Toshiba: These copiers are reliable and user friendly. They also offer reduced down time due to ease of repair. Find a dealer near you at:

Best color copiers:
Konica Minolta. Exceptional print quality, user friendliness, and a high level of reliability make this your best choice for color copiers. Find a dealer near you at:
http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/content/home/index.html
Ricoh/Savin/Gestetner/Lanier. These color copiers come in a very close second to the Konica Minolta. Outstanding print quality, user friendliness, and relaibility. To find a dealer near you:

Copiers to avoid:
Canon. I have worked on these and am even trained on a couple of models. While many customers like them to a degree, I think the fascination lies mainly in the name. Their cameras are some of the best on the market, and their faxes are outstanding. Purely from a technician's standpoint, I just don't like these copiers.
Sharp. I have just recently completed Bronze Level certification these copiers. This is another case where many customers like them for whatever reason. They are a bit less user friendly than other brands with certain features being assigned unusual names and put in strange location in the programming. They are programmed and configured differently than most if not all other brands. Because of the configuration and programming differences, they are a bit more difficult to service than other brands. Again, not one of my favorites.

Songwriter calls Milton 2nd-grader to congratulate her on 'Lord' stand
By JOHN QUINN
jquinn@fosters.com
MILTON — It's been quite a week for Bailey Champy.
The second-grader was brought to tears late last week after school officials told her Thursday she couldn't sing her favorite song, "Trading My Sorrows" by Darrell Evans, in class because it contained the word "Lord" in it.
Superintendent Bill Lander reversed that decision Friday afternoon, which brought relief and joy to the entire family.
On Sunday she not only sang the song at church, but later that night she received a call from Evans himself, Bailey's father, David told Foster's Daily Democrat in an e-mail.
" 'Hello Mr. Champy, this is Darrell Evans and I would like to speak to Bailey.'" Champy said, adding he quickly brought the phone to Bailey's room and told her she had an important phone call.
Champy said his wife, Laurie, picked up the other line and listened in as Evans, who has a southern accent, spoke to Bailey for about five minutes.
"'Hi Bailey, This is Darrell Evans. You are an inspiration to us all, keep up the great work, keep singing and touch those around you!'" Champy wrote in the e-mail, quoting what the singer said to his daughter.
Champy said "Bailey was awe-struck and sat there silently listening to every word. Evans proceeded to ask her about singing and had a great conversation with her that made her night. When she got off the phone with him she yelled out 'That was awesome!' She said she was going to tell all the kids in school she got a phone call from Darrell Evans."
Bailey was afforded the privilege to sing any song of her choosing in front of her class as part of the school's "star cards" program, which rewards students for good behavior and following the rules. The only stipulation was that the song's lyrics had to be first approved by the faculty.
Champy, who sings and plays guitar himself, said Bailey chose the song because it makes her feel good when she sings it.
The family is glad they decided to stand up for Bailey's First Amendment rights, which protect freedom of speech and religious practices.
"The story has had such an impact on our community that the phone has been ringing off the hook and the e-mails have been flying in. The interesting thing about it is there has not been negative feedback. I believe everyone is sick and tired of the system and feel they need to fight back," Champy said in the e-mail.
Champy said Bailey, 8, is set to sing Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the cafeteria at Milton Elementary.
Principal Stephanie Hillis could not be reached about the matter, either Friday or Monday, despite attempts to reach her by phone.
Messages were left, but the phone calls were not returned.
Foster's also attempted to contact Lander by phone on Friday and left a message, but that phone call was not returned either.

Why the Social Security System is failing.
Franklin Delano. Roosevelt (Terms of Office March 4, 1933, to April 12, 1945), a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the program would be completely voluntary,
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the program,
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
4.) That the money the participants put into the Independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to 'Put Away' -- you may be interested in the following:
1958 is the first year that Congress voted to remove funds from Social Security and put it into the General Fund for Congress to spend.
If I recall correctly, it was a democratically Controlled Congress.
From what I understand, Congress logic at that time was that there was so much money in Social Security Fund that it would never run out / be used up for the purpose it was intended / set aside for.
Dwight David Eisenhower 34th. President, Republican,Term Of Office: January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961.
Question: Which Political Party took Social Security from the Independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the General Fund so that Congress could spend it?
Answer: It was Lyndon B. Johnson (Democrat, Term Of Office: November 22, 1963 to January 20, 1969) and the Democrat Controlled House and Senate.
Question: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax Deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
Answer: The Democrat Party.
William Jefferson Clinton (Bill Clinton), 42nd. President. Democrat, Term of Office: January 20, 1993 to January 20, 2001
Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. (Al Gore), 45th Vice-President. Democrat, Term of office: January 20, 1993 - January 20, 2001Question: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
Answer: The Democrat Party, with Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. (Al Gore) casting the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US.
THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK!Question: Which Political Party decided to start giving Annuity payments to immigrants?
AND MY FAVORITE:
Answer: That's right! James Earl Carter, Jr. (Jimmy Carter) (Democrat, Term of Office: January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981) and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democrat Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of Awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve... Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully sure of what isn't so. But it's worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?
AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!
